Psychopath Lyrics
Running down the highway like a psychopath
All the flames and fury coming out my back
Wanna make a bet whether I make it back?
'Cause I'm on the edge of a heart attack
You said, "Honey quit your worryin',
Distance is exactly like a blowing wind
We're puttin' out the embers and the tiny flames
And keeping the big ones burnin'"
So I am standing in the sand where we said
"It's the best day of my life" and meant all of it
Keep me in your soft sides,
When all of the rest have moved on
And I'll keep you in my soft sides,
When all of the crowd has gone home
Keep me in your soft sides,
When all of the rest have moved on
And I'll keep you in my soft sides,
When all of the crowd has gone home
All the flames and fury coming out my back
Wanna make a bet whether I make it back?
'Cause I'm on the edge of a heart attack
Distance is exactly like a blowing wind
We're puttin' out the embers and the tiny flames
And keeping the big ones burnin'"
"It's the best day of my life" and meant all of it
When all of the rest have moved on
And I'll keep you in my soft sides,
When all of the crowd has gone home
When all of the rest have moved on
And I'll keep you in my soft sides,
When all of the crowd has gone home

Seems to be about a long distance relationship with the other person trying to convince her that distance will make them stronger. But it's only making her psychotic. I think Annie has said this is about a friend she once dated... So, it seems that she's not over the person (keep me in your soft sides=remember me once all the rest have gone).
I edited the lyrics straight from the booklet that came with the CD.
"Quit, you're worryin'" or "quit your worrying'"? Lol
