Feeling Alright Lyrics

Under the branches of feeling alright
I fell asleep just to dream about

I've known too many reasons to fight
So glad that I have taken my time

My mind is made, I see in bold now
I'm growing up to a starry state
I know you can see me now

Under the flawless sky, feeling alright
Not careless, not hopeless, you can't bring me down

I've known too many reasons to fight
So glad that I have you on my side
I've taken my time

Only the right thing is happening
I can see it face to face, I'm not worrying
First rule of thumb you gave, promise not to fake your way
So rest your head and go to sleep now

My mind is made, I see in bold now
I'm growing up to a starry state
And soon you will see it better now

I think these lyrics are the best ones I've found. I've listened to several versions of the song and agonised over what some of them could be - and I have to admit that these fit the best. There are some awful ones that seem to be on every other site :(

Whoever wrote these ones out - thank you!

Now... What does it mean...?

My Opinion

After reading the lyrics, I got two ideas:

a) She and her partner have been fighting for a long time, but after so may things she has made up her mind, she is staying, she is strong enough to handle the worst of him, she is glad for the good things, she is ready for anything else.

b) An internal speech, she is fighting herself, she is getting ready to keep going but a part of her still has doubts, maybe this one is about pulling yourself together?
