Love this song and the message (as I interpret it).

As youngsters, our teachers encourage us to make friends, get to know many people. And we do. I still remember my three best friends growing up. But the problem is, I hardly stay in contact with them, if at all. We grow up, move away, find new cities, have new experiences.

I think Sameer Gadhia (lead vocals) is saying that we have temptations of alcohol, drugs, other new experiences, etc. It's easy to give into these temptations. He finds himself in his car. Cars are enclosed from the outside, it's easy to be alone. He has the fever for the temptations, he can't stop dreaming of them, he needs a release, is praying for it, but cannot find it. He feels a resentment by "crossing off" his friends, when they would be exactly what he needs to find that release.

Stay in contact with your close friends, friends. Something I need to go do now.
