Blue Sky Lyrics

It's a slow train a comin'
It's just crawling along the line
Well i've been watching now for hours
Just wasting away the time

To see that old man a walkin'
He'll pass here by and by
But you won't bother him with asking
Lord knows he'll take his time

And it's a long way to fly (won't you keep on believing)
And it's a long way to fall
And there's a whirlwind twistin' up inside your head and now
One day blue sky

Blue sky

You catch an old dog a napin'
He just gets lazier everyday
But you can't say you blame him
It looks like he's got it made

And you can see the heat a risin'
In the distance up the road
And it reminds me of driving
It reminds me that it's time to go

And it's a long way to fly (won't you keep on believing)
And it's a long way to fall
And there's a whirlwind twistin' up inside your head and now
One day blue sky

Blue sky

You can find every answer
You can wander every road
You can wander till the end of time
But you still might never know

Blue sky

One of my favorite songs from a local band. I think it's about moving worldly as opposed to spiritual conquests.

That of course is my interpretation.

There is a Trey Anastasio quote that different musicians at different times are closer to the truth.

I'm actually been thinking

I think it refers to a spiritual experience or getting caught up in spiritual experiences.

When there's a world to live.

Searching instead of walking.
