But the guy singing it to her knows her better than her ex, and he's willing to pick up the pieces of what's left of the girl, and to start a new relationship with her. But the girl's scared. She doesn't want to get hurt again. So the person singing it to her is trying to remind her, that she can confide in him. That he's gonna teach her the meaning of love again. That's how I think of it, and that's why this is my favorite song in Midnight Memories. It's like a healing song, and I like the folk vibe that it has.
