Deluge Lyrics

You rode the vibration of anger like riding the tide out to sea,
You tried to find the face of salvation, but all you found was me,
Now you're staring at the sword in your chest like I owe you an apology,
I would never suspect that you would do this to your family, but no mercy

You're not alone
I will arise and arrive from the depth of this hole (Oh woah)
You must atone
When I reconcile with the force at the depth of my soul,
I will be home!

You've got nowhere left to go, I've fought through liars and lows, and it all ends now
I'm hitting you where it hurts, and this is all you deserve, and it all ends now
Oh how the tables have turned,
Oh how your temples will burn,
You've got nowhere left to go, you'd best prepare for the storm, and it all ends, and it all ends now

You condemn me as the devil himself in an attempt to erase my spark,
But since the devil don't exist where I am, he could only be where you are

You're not alone
I will arise and arrive from the depth of this hole (Oh woah)
You must atone
When I reconcile with the force at the depth of my soul,
I will be home!

You've got nowhere left to go, I've fought through liars and lows, and it all ends now
I'm hitting you where it hurts, and this is all you deserve, and it all ends now
Oh how the tables have turned,
Oh how your temples will burn,
You've got nowhere left to go, you'd best prepare for the storm, and it all ends, and it all ends now

I have walked into the dark, so I could come to know the light,
The light!

It seems he's seeking resolution by force, as though someone owes him an explanation or is being confronted with a demand to confess with that which has already been found out.

I actually think these guys are former indoctrinated theists, or at least one of them, or even that the religious stronghold has affected the life of one of the members of lyrical influence.

I see this and a few of their other songs as coming to terms with, and getting some payback on an abuser
