Aligator is a song by Paul McCartney just another joe looking for someone to come home to not to be lonely someone to trust with his heart. some of us are blessed to have that someone that mate that lover that lady!
Linda was the love of Mr. McCartney's life. McCartney was (is?) quite the pothead. An alligator clip used to be a popular way to hold a burning joint. Paul is lamenting the loss of his true love, a true communicator to whom he could give his alligator, Linda. Everyone else seems to have that love, Mr. McCartney is angry he does not. An excellent rock song written by a man in his 70's, a rare feat.
