Blue Angel Lyrics
Since you’re so curious, well it’s anything really
Call it my witching hour or what calls to me
But to be serious, well it’s worse than you think
Should I be ashamed because of what I need?
Define right and wrong in regard to what’s going on
Take two, slip away till the afternoon
It’s an easy remedy for what I just can’t do
Over the counter and over the moon
I have my beliefs this has me confused
But what can I do?
I feel relief in just watching you breathe.
It’s hypnotizing like an inner peace.
I get fixated on your deepest breaths
Waiting for the angels to take their effect
Call it my witching hour or what calls to me
But to be serious, well it’s worse than you think
Should I be ashamed because of what I need?
Define right and wrong in regard to what’s going on
Take two, slip away till the afternoon
It’s an easy remedy for what I just can’t do
Over the counter and over the moon
I have my beliefs this has me confused
But what can I do?
I feel relief in just watching you breathe.
It’s hypnotizing like an inner peace.
I get fixated on your deepest breaths
Waiting for the angels to take their effect

For those who don't know, a Blue Angel is a depressant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depressant
Why hasn't anyone asked Jeremy what this song means in an interview? Jeremy has admitted to having trouble sleeping but he claims edge. This song sounds a bit like an addiction
Jeremy is straight edge (as am I) but its extension of no drugs only goes as far as for recreational purposes. If you need painkillers, or sleeping pills as prescribed by a doctor, then you can do that.
But what you said about straight edge makes sense in the context of the song, that's a good point! The line "Should I be ashamed because of what I need? Define right and wrong in regard to what’s going on." refers to Jeremy wondering if his need for sleeping pills breaks edge, or if he's still technically abiding by the rules because he isn't doing it for recreational use.
It seems as if these lines:
I feel relief in just watching you breathe. It’s hypnotizing like an inner peace. I get fixated on your deepest breaths Waiting for the angels to take their effect
Refer to Jeremy rolling over one sleepless night after having taken his sleeping pills, or "blue angels" as the song calls them, rolling over and finding comfort and solace in watching his partner sleep - or "finding relief in watching them breathe." This act comforts him until he's drifted away to sleep by his "blue angels."
