At their Coachella 2014 performance, the lead singer said they have been waiting to play this song at Coachella, that they wrote it there previously and it's about losing your mind in the desert.

He's in a large mix of people at Coachella. He's gotten lost in the crowds and has been wondering around.

I think this has something to do with shooting up cocaine. When I googled "vinegar drug" I came up with a result that said you mix vinegar with lemon juice in order to inject it. So they shoot up cocaine and stay up all night laughing (cocaine makes you awake).
