Care More Lyrics
Talk to the radio
Speak out loud
Speak so true
Sing to an old love
Never forget
Always embrace
Something or someone
Try to see
I need that much
There’s got to be more than this
I need that much
Try to see
Try to see
Try to see
Try to see
Walk to that old street
It still remains
It hasn’t changed
Feel to what means most
Never forget
Always embrace
Something or someone
Try to see
I need that much
There’s got to be more
More than this
Speak out loud
Speak so true
Sing to an old love
Never forget
Always embrace
Something or someone
Try to see
I need that much
There’s got to be more than this
I need that much
Try to see
Try to see
Try to see
Try to see
Walk to that old street
It still remains
It hasn’t changed
Feel to what means most
Never forget
Always embrace
Something or someone
Try to see
I need that much
There’s got to be more
More than this

seems pretty vague and could mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To me it seems post-apocalyptic. The whole song has kind of a somber tone and also seems to reference a different time like when it mentions the old street.
I agree it is pretty vague. The first verse could mean hearing a song on the radio in which you sing to, especially if its a song you loved from your youth. This also ties in with the old street part, that hasn't changed, obviously the song remains the same.
By no means do I think that was the intent of the lyrics as they dont match with much of anything else in the song. Probably more of a desolate, post apocalyptic song similar to Underoath's Dsolate Earth::The End Is Here.
I never thought about this song as post-apocalyptic or surreal. To me, it's more straightforward, and about Mike's past relationship.
"Talk to the radio. Speak out loud, speak so true." [Alone, driving in a car, talking to yourself out loud with more honesty expressed. No holding back, speaking what's on your mind]
"Sing to an old love." [You're up on stage, singing about an old love, because it's what means the most at this point.]
"Never forget, always embrace." [Don't try to repress what is now a part of you. Embrace all that you have been through. Learn.]
"Something or someone try to see. I need that much." [This referring to what you're embracing. Whether it's something or someone, to to see it as it is, look at it from a more objective view. You need to.]
"Walk to that old street. It still remains, it hasn't changed." [I see these lines in a very direct way. Someone walking to a street he/she use to live with his/her lover. Or parents, etc.]
"Feel to what means most." [Think on things that mean the most. The aspects that affected you so. Love, hate, passion. Feel it because it's what we're made to do.]
Great song. Everyone can see different things within the lyrics, which makes it all the more relatable.
