The Crush Lyrics

Drifting
On a wave of devastation
Plunge into the frenzied sea
My mind is open in this shell so violent and vast
Fall into fear, don't let me lose myself in the past

I wanna feel that power surge
Two minds that were made to merge
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush

I wanna hear that roarin sound
When I walk I will shake the ground
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush
Take me to the crush!!

Frame me
In the shell of my colossus
I can reach my certainty
So long I waited for a chance to prove I was right
Don't let me die now when my fists are clenched for the fight

I wanna feel that power surge
Two minds that were made to merge
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush

I wanna hear that roarin sound
When I walk I will shake the ground
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush!!

IT'S ALL COMING APART!

I wanna feel that power surge
Two minds that were made to merge
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush

I wanna hear that roarin sound
When I walk I will shake the ground
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush!!

Cover art for The Crush lyrics by Miracle of Sound

This song is inspired by the 2013 film "Pacific Rim". In the film, humanity builds titanic robots, called Jaegers, to battle equally titanic monsters, called Kaiju, that emerge from the Pacific Ocean and attack our cities. In order to pilot the Jaegers, two human pilots merge their minds in order to share the neural load ("Two minds that were made to merge"). The song is written from the perspective of Mako Mori, who has desired to pilot a Jaeger since she was a child ("So long I waited for the chance to prove I was right") and doesn't want to be kept away from the fight. "The Crush" refers to the epic clashes of Jaegers and Kaiju.
