You Wear A Crown But You're No King Lyrics
Watching your empire fall
You'll never stop till you get what you want
You think you have control
You tried to take mine
But I won't leave till I get what I want
Over and over bending and breaking
Watching your empire fall
Watching the ashes fall
Will it ever cross your mind?
I'm the man you'll never be
Think about me when you're all alone
Without someone to love
Without someone to love
Am I gonna be the last one standing?
How's it gonna feel when I'm on top
I guess I'll watch you walk away
Don't waste my time
You've got this upside down
What were you thinking of?
What were you thinking of?
You've got this upside down
What were you thinking of?
What were you thinking of?
Watching your empire fall
Watching the ashes fall
Will it ever cross your mind?
I'm the man you'll never be
Think about me when you're all alone
Without someone to love
You're out there on your own
Am I gonna be the last one standing?
How's it gonna feel when I'm on top
I guess I'll watch you walk away
And let your empire crumble
Am I gonna be the last one standing?
How's it gonna feel when I'm on top
I guess I'll watch you walk away
And let your empire crumble
You decide what's next for us
Over and over you sold me out
You decide what's next for us
Over and over bending and breaking
You decide what's next for us
You decide what's next for us
You'll never learn
You never will
You'll never learn
You never will
You decide what's next for us
You decide what's next for us
You think you have control
You tried to take mine
But I won't leave till I get what I want

This song is about vocalist Beau Bokan's personal history.
In an article about blessthefall in Alternative Press's December 2013 issue, it is stated that "...it's about a particularly dark piece of Bokan's personal history, when as a baby, he was kidnapped by his estranged father. Bokan was obviously too young to remember the events surrounding the incident, but was made aware through various recounts from his mother, grandparents, and other family members. 'The huge emotional toll it took on my mom lasted years,' Bokan reveals. 'I also had to deal with my dad trying to force his way back into my life later when I was a teenager. I never wanted to have anything to do with him. I have only met him twice. The reason for me writing about this now, well into my adulthood, is that this album was planned out to be a deeper, darker record."
In the Youtube video comments there are many people comparing this to 'Game of Thrones' and if you've seen the TV show or read the books it's easy to see why people believe this song is based on it.
In the music video, theyre dancing around a bunch of burning crosses laying on the ground. I'm guessing theyre talking about their complete abandonment of the Christian faith, and have devoted themselves to satanism, or at least anti-christianity.
I recognise that you have posted this as your 'opinion'. However you are certainly wrong. Okay, firstly they are not burning crosses. They're just ordinary fire pits/camp fires. Clearly you just want them to be burning crosses to back up your belief. If you look closely though, they are just camp fires. (If you just look at the basic pattern of a campfire, they can look similar to a cross, but that's just the way they're BUILT)

Secondly, the music video actually doesn't relate to the lyrics of this song at all. So your overall premise is incorrect as the evidence you use is unrelated. The basic meaning of the song is that some person of extreme power (e.g. a king) is abusing that power by using it for personal gain. They are not doing their job and because of this society (or the empire) is failing. This then means that people in that society have to fight to survive. The meaning of this song could be compared to the dystopian or apocalyptic genres which are popular in films/books right now. The video, however, contains Blessthefall performing at night with camp fires/small bonfires as a source of light and warmth. It shows clips of Beau Bokan chopping wood in the forest - so he's getting fire wood. And then when he's built the bonfire he's just watching it, looking deep in thought. Then he accidentally catches fire and in the end he 'becomes' the person in the album artwork for 'Hollow Bodies'. Potentially, that could be what is meant by hollow bodies.
Thirdly, all the members of Blessthefall are Roman Catholics. This makes it very hard to believe that they would write and perform a song about abandonment of the Christian faith or Satanism or anti-Christianity. It seems to me that you're just another person who unfortunately believes that all rock/metal/punk music is wrong. I'm sorry that this song doesn't mean what you want it to mean.
