We didn't stop to recognize
The thundering fog
Going down with all the lies
Anonymous
Cubes of marble waiting to be
Shaped into grace
Hiding what you'll never see
Victorious
Forgive my tears
When they turn to salt
After facing your fears
It's time to revolt
Symptoms of vanity
Referring pain
Seeming to come from inside
Based on the bad side
I only see
The things you are trying to hide
The thundering fog
Going down with all the lies
Anonymous
Shaped into grace
Hiding what you'll never see
Victorious
When they turn to salt
After facing your fears
It's time to revolt
Referring pain
Seeming to come from inside
I only see
The things you are trying to hide

Could it possibly be about a relationship (romantic?) that is in turmoil? That is, a story about the hardships that we all face in a relationship.
The use of we, you, I etc, suggest to me that it is about a relationship.
The "forgive my tears when they turn to salt" seems to imply that they have had enough of crying (i.e. moved on, or no longer feel they way they did about that person).
this is by far my favorite leprous song. to me, it's about a relationship and the buildup to its end/the feelings surround it.
"We didn't stop to recognize The thundering fog"
there were problems building in the relationship that neither person paid attention to.
"Forgive my tears When they turn to salt"
as the main character starts to recognize the problem, his crying changes from out of joy to out of sadness (because salty tears means sad).
"After facing your fears It's time to revolt"
the other person in the relationship finally decides to end it after being reluctant out of fear.
the rest, "Symptoms of vanity...The things you are trying to hide" could be about the problems that caused the relationship to end.
