He Did It Lyrics
He, yes he did it
And he, oh oh he said it
But he, he'll regret it
People let me tell you
I don't understand his alibi
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
Oh how he fooled me
When he used me
And then he, he accused me
Let me tell you oh
I don't understand his alibi
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
He, oh he shamed me
He, when he blamed me
But I, I'm not guilty
Let me tell you now
I don't understand his alibi
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
He, he did it
He's gone
He did it now he's gone (fade)
And he, oh oh he said it
But he, he'll regret it
People let me tell you
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
When he used me
And then he, he accused me
Let me tell you oh
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
He, when he blamed me
But I, I'm not guilty
Let me tell you now
I don't understand his reasons why
I don't understand him right or wrong
But he, yes he did it and he's gone
He's gone
He did it now he's gone (fade)

Just a general comment here, nothing special, but I just listened to this version and then the Detroit Cobras cover and I thought I loved both versions equally but I think I love Ronnie's voice just a bit more. I dated a woman for 2 years, she didn't care for music much, and a few months ago I put this song on and she told me to turn it off, and that was one of the last straws for me. Who could not like this song? I broke it off not too long after, for many reasons, but I got tired of her dislike of good music. Now I'll play this song loudly without anybody telling me to turn it down! Freedom!
