But seriously, I think this song has something to do with falling into a relationship that you weren't expecting. Maybe then we realize that it isn't necessarily about what we want in a person, but a more primal feeling of love. I think they use being in the family of a ruler as a metaphor for this; that if we fall in love, it becomes a stressful position with a lot of work required, and if we don't put the work in, we still have a "ways to go."

I just heard this song for the first time last night and I was able to look up the lyrics to find out who it was. I'm really surprised no one has already commented on this. This must be a really new song. It's such a catchy, feel-good song and when I looked up the lyrics on here I fell in love with the song even more.

For me, this song is completely relatable. My days feel so repetitive and all seem to run together. I barely remember what day of the week it is. I know that this will all pay off and "I've got a little bit longer" and a "ways to go". This song is re-assuring for me and a reminder that I need to keep keepin on.

This is another age old relationship song. This might be to literal, but i think this song has to do with Kim Jong Un actually wanting to bring peace with no intentions of following his father's ways.

I think this songs about being stupid and love. Some of the lyrics are a bit more cryptic, but it seems obvious from the beginning that the guy unexpectedly fell for a girl and it turned his whole world upside down. The chorus's mention of "sleeping/dreaming all day" makes me think of the whole obsession people go through when they're first in love, when it feels like nothing else matters and you just want to spend all your time with that person or sit around daydreaming about them. I'm not too sure about the "I got a little bit longer, I got a ways to go" but it sounds like some sort of positive message. Maybe it's to do with the fact that their love has made them all crazy and seemingly unproductive lol? Like they're fucking up their lives because of their obsessive love right now but they have time to fix that stuff later because they're young and for now it's fine to be overfocusing on each other and their new love affair.

The one lyric I'm totally stuck on is the "even if I work it like I'm times two". I have no idea what that could possibly mean, is it referencing to being a couple?

Also have to mention that the "Waiting for the day just to end so I see you" line is cute and this song totally makes me think of that initial stage of liking someone / falling in love with them.

This song is about having a fear and exciting feeling at the same time about this person and having no clue what's next so he's saying I didn't know my name like saying I felt in here eyes and didn't even know who I was , my life is a completely mess and now there she is , so he's clearly saying that he's in love but insecure too

I think this song is about a person falling for someone no matter how hard they try to fight it, as indicated by the opening lines: "I didn't ask for this You give me heart attack I didn't want to care And then I saw you there"

Then, the rest of the song seems to go on talking about how the person has a predictable day to day life, being an adult working all the time and what not..

and I think the beauty of this song is how the person initially thought that by falling for someone, it would just be another demand added to his/her life, but really that someone ended up being his/her escape from the monotony of every day life.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the person was in love at first sight or that the someone they fell for is his/her soul mate...I think the song is meant to capture the memories of those people that come into our lives and give our lives more meaning/substance, even if it is only for a little while...a type of reassurance.

I think the "I've got a little bit longer, I've got a ways to go" can be broken down as follows: the former phrase represents what we say to people during small talk when discussing our current state of affairs, whereas the latter represents how we may open up to someone we meet and end up growing closer to and telling the truth to about how our lives are really going.

This song is about having a child and not expecting the impact they have on life. The realization that life isn't about you anymore and that you've 'got a ways to go' in both things to accomplish and a legacy to leave behind. You end up 'smoking in the back room' and 'calling just to hear you. When I became a parent, I realized, hell, I didn't want to sleep at night anyway and I certainly did not know my name, until I realized it would always be 'daddy' to someone that I love much more than myself. Any young parent with a pulse can identify with this.

This song is about no matter how hard life can be jus keep moving on cause we all have "a ways to go"
