Unbelievable song. Pretty easy to interpret. We grow up hoping to do something impactful in this world, or legendary. When we get older, many of us end up with routine lives, watching tv, and not chasing our initial dreams.
It also incorporates the guy finding girl scenario, and how finding the right girl could be the meaning that he's been looking for in his life.
And of course, the how i met your mother references with the yellow umbrella and the name of the song is obviously a throw to the show too. Legend... wait for it... dary.
