S.O.S. in Bel Air Lyrics
Well I really got to go now
Phony as in "you're not just anyone"
Even though we're not supposed to
I would rather be too close to if anything
Is it a false alarm, another one?
When you can't cross the line
But you can't stop trying
Alone
Crystal or Bamboo
Voyageur Canoe
Crystal or Bamboo
Do you need another one,
Someone to talk to?
Put my name on your list
S.O.S. in Bel Air
When tired you're no fun
When idols are boredom to everyone
When every piece of every costume is stolen, missing
I recall the pretty things
Is it the last of me or lesson one?
When you can't cross the line
But you can't stop trying
Alone
Crystal or Bamboo
Voyageur Canoe
Crystal or Bamboo
Do you need another one,
Someone to talk to?
Put my name on your list

Hope my interpretation is way off, but the lyrics of this one sound like a marriage in trouble, specifically a marriage to someone living a glamorous Hollywood type life that is too busy with important people and rubbing elbows leaving the spouse alone.
The chorus sounds like someone who never actually cheats but can't stop "trying" aka flirting, roving eye, etc.
I think "why you have a canoe" is actually something being sung in French.

You're right about that. I'd say it's actually somehting like "Voyage in canoe"

I have change the lyrics to what it says in the album lyric book.

It's "Voyageur Canoe"

Could SOS in Bel-Air be a synonym for the saying, "trouble in paradise"?
Some sort of expensive male gigolo??
It sounds like he don't love her, just want to be a friend.
I think it's sort of like he's at the end of his relationship but still holding onto hope. "Can't cross the line" like he can't end it but wants to so he feels alone. "Crystal or bamboo" the contrast between what the relationship looks from the outside to what it really is. And like the other person said "SOS in bel air" trouble in paradise- - people think it looks good but it's far from good.
