It's very clear what Kacey is trying to get across here. She's saying be who you are and own it. Fat, skinny, gay, straight, religious, non-religious, virgin, be you and own it even if you have that occasional drink ;) I love this song, and it's inspired me to change my major and be what I really want. I'm also getting a tattoo for this song, it's inspired and moved me so much. Thank you Kacey!
I Really Love this Song! In fact, it's one of my favorite songs. I Love the message of it - Be who you are, love who you love. And don't make what other people think of you such a priority because you are "damned if you do and damned if you don't." Also - don't take life overly seriously. Take time to just chill-out and follow wherever your heart leads you. Aka "follow your arrow, wherever it points." This song means so much to me and I Love Kacey and her whole album. Taylor Swift may just have to share the the throne for Country Queen very soon!
