It's pretty obvious this is about some form of a relationship that is forbidden in some way. Maybe someone doesn't approve of it. Even though the relationship is not allowed, the people involved see each other in secret, hiding their feeling until they are only with each other. They are there own secret, hidden away from the world, hence the nobody sees, nobody knows. And when they are together, they "uncover" and show their true selves because they know the other accepts them and loves them just how they are.
I think this song is simply about a secret relationship that can't be public.

It's something nobody sees, nobody knows..a secret group that can't be exposed..that's how it is that's how it goes.. Like lights hiding in plain sight..
Then there's that part for people like me; since people like you never want to see anything
Put two and two(together) forever WE'LL(we will) never change (Like connecting dots together constantly, but you can't change people that are reallyyyy good at double entendres(multiple meanings in a phrase)
How can people keep putting a blind eye to these kind of things?
