Ride On / Right On Lyrics
Let’s go for a ride, hej you turn me right on
Let’s get on the bike, hej you turn me right on
Ain’t nothing to hide and hej you turn me right on
The city at night, hej she turn me right on
The kids in the park, hej they turn me right on
The city at dark, hej it turn me right on
Rose on the back, hej she turn me right on
Ain’t nothing will last but hej she tell me, “Ride on”
Take your greedy hands, lay em on me
Take your greedy hands, honey, lay em on me
It’s not in the heart, but hej you turn me right on
We sit at the bar and hej you turn me right on
We lay in the dark, honey, hej you turn me right on
We wait for the part and hej you turn me right on
Take your greedy hands, lay em on me
Take your greedy hands, honey, lay em on me
Moving too fast, hej it turn me right on
Shifting to pass, hej it turn me right on
I know nothing can last, but hej you turn me right on
And Rose on the back, hej she tell me, “Ride on”
Let’s get on the bike, hej you turn me right on
Ain’t nothing to hide and hej you turn me right on
The city at night, hej she turn me right on
The city at dark, hej it turn me right on
Rose on the back, hej she turn me right on
Ain’t nothing will last but hej she tell me, “Ride on”
Take your greedy hands, honey, lay em on me
We sit at the bar and hej you turn me right on
We lay in the dark, honey, hej you turn me right on
We wait for the part and hej you turn me right on
Take your greedy hands, honey, lay em on me
Shifting to pass, hej it turn me right on
I know nothing can last, but hej you turn me right on
And Rose on the back, hej she tell me, “Ride on”

I think it's pretty clear that this song is about a relationship that's based on physical attraction and not very much else.
It's really fun, but I think it's actually kind of a sad song about living a wild life even though it's not deeply fulfilling. The line "Take your greedy hands and lay them on me" is the one that makes me see it this way.
All the other lines are about enjoying life in some way while also acknowledging that "it's not in the heart."
Pretty sure the first line is "let's go for a ride", not "it's going right"

Clearly Conrizzle's version is more accurate (aside from spelling 'hey' as 'hej', of course). Just sayin' ...
Great tune, never really thought about what it 'means' though I have to say ;)
The way that almost every line includes “I hate you” in the middle is a brilliant reveal of the heart of the one speaking. What physicality might be getting one by, even though it is needed, is realized to be not all one needs and desires. The person realizes that because of this, the described relationship is a trap, but can’t see a way to find a fulfilling relationship. Without hope, the speaker decides to take whatever he can get for the moment. However, there is a door left open to hope in the fact that the speaker knows “this is not my heart” and will keep seeking for that which is.
