Lost in My Bedroom Lyrics

You're crystal clear
Facing the light
Don't disappear
It's just what I imagined

So happy here
Everything is right
It's crystal clear
Is this real or not?

Away from my bed
Am I lost in my head?
Am I lost in my bedroom again?
It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

Suddenly strange
Everything is right
Inside my brain
It's just what I imagined

Something's not right
Shadows appear
I close my eyes
Is this real or not?

Away from my bed
Am I lost in my head?
Am I lost in my bedroom again?
It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

Away from my bed
Am I lost in my head?
Am I lost in my bedroom again?
It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

It's just what I imagined
I'm lost in my bedroom
It's just what I imagined

So happy here Everything's fine It's crystal clear "Is this real life" ..... I close my eyes "Is this real life"

That's what i hear but every site i look at it says she says It's just what i imagined. But it doesn't sound like that at all.

I don't want to say that this is what this song is about but for me it definitely sounds like a mushroom trip. I've had mushroom trips that these lyrics perfectly describe, and I think I'm going to listen to this song the next time I trip on anything.

It sounds like this to me because in the beginning of the song things are crystal clear, and in the beginning of a mushroom or acid trip thoughts and patterns are super clear for me at least. Then as the song goes on (and as a trip goes on) sometimes things are a little bit unclear or foggy and you have to remind yourself this is just your imagination or it's all inside your head or don't forget you're tripping. Also some times you'll have bad thoughts like when she says "something's not right" and "shadows of fear." Sometimes I get to a place that isn't fun and I have to just control my own mind and make myself be happy with whatever I am tripping and then the trip will be happier. Also I feel like this might relate to how when one experiences "ego death" on acid they usually also see a lot wrong with the way we live our lives. While on shrooms once I started yelling at my room mate about how retarded it is that everyone can be so easily freaked out by nature, like by spiders and bugs. I said to him that we're never going to be able to live sustainably and make this earth last if we can't learn to live with nature. I feel like these sorts of thoughts during a trip are what she is referring to when she says "something's not right" because in the intensity of those moments when those thoughts have just arisen, you feel like you live in a world that betrays and rejects natural life. You have a helpless but intense desire to change it, but you know nothing you do will fix everything.

Also, I think if this song is about tripping on mushrooms more than acid because while acid makes you trip good, some mushrooms can make a house you've lived in all your life seem completely new, like you're experiencing it as a 5 year old again. On shrooms like those you will spend quite a bit of time exploring your own bedroom before you'll go outside where as on acid you'll want to go outside and hear all the birds and see the sounds and just see the world at work being the world.

Also when I listen to the song I feel like she says "Free from my head" a few times as well as "Don't disappear" instead of "Don't disagree" and "Is this real life" and I also hear "Everything's right" instead of "Everything's fine"

Maybe that's just what I want to hear because I want this song to be about tripping but I don't know.

My Interpretation

haha i'm not sure if this is what its about, but thats exactly what i thought too. it reminded me of tripping the f*** in my room on acid or shrooms glad i'm not alone in this. shes also known to be into drugs, so i wouldn't be surprised.

more specifically my first acid trip

This song seems like she is on an acid trip describing how at first everything is "crystal clear" then as the trip continues she starts getting "lost" implying she is tripping and is not sure if it is all real
