nothing much to say about this except that when bilinda sings "just like i knew you wanted me to do" i can hear her smiling and i feel something warm and beautiful rise in my chest
Possibly my favorite song of theirs ever. Lyrically and musically--so abstract, yet so tied together. Beach Boys-esque harmonies, yet in the absence of any real vocal rhyme scheme or structure, and with no choruses (not that anyone would notice, because the song is such pure pop). Truly an experiment in the outer reaches of pop brilliance...a peak in the history of pop/shoegaze/noise/experimental/indie/whatever-genre-you-can-think-of-or-want-to-deem-it. More MBV brilliance...can't believe this song and album even exists!! Especially in 2013, no less!! <3 MBV
