Midsummer Night's Dream Lyrics

Windows gaze sightless into the woodlands
Seeing the white smoke rise ever higher

Midsummer silence in the hills (yeah)
Midsummer lake reflecting, still

Snake slithers, dry-skinned, into my portrait

Cover art for Midsummer Night's Dream lyrics by Sam Gopal

I reckon this song is about Autumn or Winter and the return of seasonal depression. Loneliness seems to be a common theme as well as the idea of death. There also appears to be an idea of lust for Summer's return.

A really touching song written by a rock n' roll legend.
