I think this song is about God talking to someone, telling them that although things can bring them down, He will always help them get through it. And He never fails at that. :)

Honestly, After listening to this song, I believe its about someone who fell in love only to be torn apart at the end, and he has moved on, but deep down, they will never let them go. "The world I know can hate you The world I know can break you But as you go remember I'm by your side" shows that they can act like they hate them and make it seem like they do but deep down they still will always care about them until the very end

This song speaks of God’s willingness to allow us our freewill. He isn't going to force us to love Him or to enter a relationship with Him. Even though He loves us, to the point of death, He won’t stop us from leaving Him. He also realizes how hateful, how breaking, the pressures of this world can be. But He wants us to remember, that no matter how hard it is, how hopeless it looks, how bleak it seems, He’s always there, even as we leave Him. Even “As We Go.”

Even as we leave Him, He will never forget us, He will never let go of us.

Red is a gospel band, so I think the song is religious. For me its about not giving up. Even when it seems like He's not there, God cares and watches. And I think it also talks about the inner strenght He(God) has provided us with to overcome daily struggless. The Love Within You Can heal This Tears That Burn.
