the unnecessary but irresistible delicacies that people indulge in.

the fruits that are mentioned are some of the sweetest and are usually popular flavors in candy. The cherry on top reminds us of a sundae. it could also be a metaphor for having things that aren't really necessary to live. a cherry on top just makes it look extra special. the cherries they put on sundaes aren't even real cherries but a processed candy. The next line "butter, popcorn that i can pop" means we have this privilege of being able to throw a bag of buttered kernels in the microwave to make popcorn which is a very unhealthy and unnecessary food. Coffee is also one of those foods although this time it is mentioned with girls and a racing team. Coffee may taste good but perhaps only because it is like a drug that fuels us to race through the day. it excites us mentally and physically. Girls are also like a processed candy or drug in the eyes of many men. A huge portion of the rich population are men. Haga Castle is a home for the royal family of Sweden. The last line kind of says who this song is really about- the rich people with political power. The evening cream is yet another reference to food which can be related to the coffee and even girls in a sexual way. all this it is presented in with a dark slow motion feel. Usually these things are portrayed as happy and cheerful like in Katy Perry's "California Gurls," but are now examined in a cold thoughtful sadness.
