Dogs Eating Dogs Lyrics
I've got a feeling, I've got a feeling
These broken nights and bitter ends
We would always starve and devour
Our closest friends, my beautiful friends
Paranoia, my paranoia
Can't let it go, it never lets me go
What am I feeling, why am I feeling
Forecast into the freezing cold
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
I'm the last and the first in a very sad set of eyes
To the bone, to the knees, to the factory line
I am numb to the shot, I have a crippling fear of heights
'Cause the fall sounds a lot like a symphony of cries
Your only hope is burning down the chapel
All getting washed out with the tide
We need to find some middle ground
It's always sex or suicide
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
I'm the last and the first in a very sad set of eyes
To the bone, to the knees, to the factory line
I am numb to the shot, I have a crippling fear of heights
'Cause the fall sounds a lot like a symphony of cries
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
I'm the last and the first in a very sad set of eyes
To the bone, to the knees, to the factory line
I am numb to the shot, I have a crippling fear of heights
'Cause the fall sounds a lot like a symphony of cries
These broken nights and bitter ends

Paranoia, my paranoia
Can't let it go, it never lets me go
What am I feeling, why am I feeling
Forecast into the freezing cold
Dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs, dogs eating dogs
To the bone, to the knees, to the factory line
I am numb to the shot, I have a crippling fear of heights

i think this song is about tom struggling against his drug problem. he said in interviews that when he was high on his medication his ego bursted and he had problems controlling his thoughts. like the statements after statements he made upon the releasing of AvA's second album.
"Paranoia, my paranoia Can't let it go, it never lets me go"
"We need to find some middle ground It's always sex or suicide"
the chorus i think is he just being afraid of sobering up because "the fall sounds a lot like a symphony of cries"
before i get to my interpretation on this, doesn't this song sound like a cross of lycanthrope (+44), hallucinations (ava), and Stockholm syndrome (blink)???? i mean you might as well take a guitar snippet from each of the three and add new lyrics and you have dogs eating dogs. it sounds good, but this was my fear of the next album of blink post hiatus.
this basically sounds most like a +44 song with its depressing-ness and lack of depth of a story/ internal and external struggle. its just a sad song just for the sake of writing a sad song and sounding depressing :( ..which in turn makes me a sad blink fan. hopefully the other songs on the ep will impress.
Dunno what this guy is talking about but this song is some of the best work blink has ever put out. Highlights the thing's blink does amazingly writing catchy but deep and dark lyrics with a fierce tempo.
I think this song is about the music industry. The "Dog eat dog" world that it is. I think the chorus is explaining how Tom is scared of his fame and the bands fame because it's placing so much pressure on them to create something that maybe they don't know how to anymore. I think this song is about the internal struggle that each member of blink is facing with constant criticism over their new sound. "I have a crippling fear of heights, cause the fall sounds a lot like a symphony of cries".
