Wrong To Be In Love Lyrics

I act unashamed but I have been used
For pleasure, for smiles, a week or one night
But it wasn’t like I put up my hands to fight
They used me up

When did it become so wrong to fall in love
To want to be in lust
Tried to block them out but emotions get
The best of all of us
Is it wrong to be in love

Didn’t get what they want, some just got a small taste
When I drew the line, I got erased
Words get passed around and people think they know, they know
But it’s all for show

When did it become so wrong to fall in love
To want to be in lust
Tried to block them out but emotions get
The best of all of us
Is it wrong to be in love
Love, love

When the morning comes, I wake up all alone
In an empty house, you could have been my home
When the morning comes, I wake up all alone
In an empty house, you could have been my home, oh yeah

When did it become so wrong to fall in love
To want to be in lust
Tried to block them out but emotions get
The best of all of us
When did it become so wrong to fall in love
To want to be in lust
Tried to block them out but emotions get
The best of all of us
Is it wrong to be in love
I don’t want to be in lust
I just want to be in love

I'm not quite sure about the meaning of this... From what I can gather, she talks about have casual, no strings attached sexual relationships (perhaps to create a particular image for herself - "it's all for show"?) but then starts developing feelings for one of them, and tries to block the feelings out because she knows it will ruin the casualness of their relationship, but at the same time, she's wondering why is it that it's wrong to fall in love.

That's just my thoughts on it, though :)
