If You Knew Lyrics

They think you're crazy, they think you're mad
They call you stupid, worthless, tell you you're not worth it
Now you're walking back to the place you call home but you feel so alone
The same hurtful hits, it's your darkest place
In your virgin ears the remarks they make.

If they, if they really knew all of those things
That you do in your room to hide the pain
I bet their minds would change, yeah
I'll bet their minds would change

They'd change if they knew the pain
Change
(I believe in those scars, 'cause I believe)

This song has a personal meaning to me. I've had to deal with being bullied, not only at school but at home too. "They think you're crazy, They think you're mad." reminds me of when I was first diagnosed with High Functioning Autism. "They call you stupid, worthless, Tell you you're not worth it." reminds me of my dad's ex and how she was verbally abusive towards me. The end talks about self harm and hiding it from others. I was hospitalized twice for cutting myself and it's really hard to deal with feeling alone and trying to be happy.

Memory

@AngelBarrett I have to deal with bullying, depression, anxiety, and feelings bad about myself. Also i'm emo. My parents found out about me and me cutting myself. They want to help, but i don't want it from them. I promised them i wouldn't cut anymore, but i don't know how long i can keep that promise. They think it has to do something with how my life is and that something is going on, but i just tell them i dont know what brought this on. It's just the way i am. Should i get help or not. Please reply...

@nox1042284 I know I'm coming out of nowhere... but hi there...

I've been having my fair share of shit luck in life as well. And although I don't self harm I do a lot of things I shouldn't. That's not good for me. But I believe that you should ask for help.

Don't ask your parents to understand, just ask them to be supportive even if it is by helping or not helping you.

Just try to press on, outlast the negativity and one day you'll look back and think...

Damn, I made it. :)
