The fact that Billie Joe wrote this song about his own "Whatsername" all these years later is proof that no matter what glory, happiness, and perfection you find in life (and, believe the hell out of me, I'm not one to give a shit about famous peoples' personal lives, but BJ and Adie are my favorite fucking couple ever), there is always one that got away.
