"designed for you, designed by me" "cutting out all the same shit i've outgrown" "before we get down, we must prepare the heartstrings" his singing "I spend my time perfecting waves of contrast" expanding the band's sound so they don't sound the same each album, yet still sounding like the same band and being their selves "i'm bringing it in style myself. you know it is with no ease, no sweat." the band is closer now more than ever before "i'm breaking in with all my friends" when they go to tour live people will go crazy for them "I carve my name on your towns when i'm set" "I see the crowns and I forget the couture." and then I guess fans and bands are going to attempt to copy their ever changing style "two at a time i watch the kingdoms fold" "cut inside before the trends begin" "so are you in"

I absolutely agree MyTooCents. Although it's hard to really interpret the meaning of Chino's lyrics at times, it's pretty obvious that with the lines...

"I’m bringing it in style myself You know it is with ease no sweat I’m breaking in with all my friends So are you in? Designed for you, designed by me"

and

"I carve my name Across your towns When I’m set Cut inside before The trends begin"

He is revealing his effort to continue being one of the most innovative and respected artists in the music industry. When The Deftones come to your town, he is going to "carve his name" into your memory in such a memorable and mind-blowing way that you will never forget their presence until the day you die...and after seeing them in concert in Mesa, Arizona, I can not agree more with Chino's swagger and confidence.

I think Its about all the fake fame and "branding" people create for themselves nowadays. "I'm bringing it in style myself you know it is with ease no sweat." Think- Kim Cardashian, Paris Hilton ect.... All the people who blindly follow and buy the dribble and crap put out by today's so called stars is pointed out by he title of the song "Goon Squad".
