Blood on the Valley Floor Lyrics
Mountains all around
All together we stumble
Eleven million clowns
Every one with a razor out
And the smoke lies on the valley floor
And the blood dries while we spill some more
Once we were the end
The end of the long road
Leading to the start
Of the ever-invading crowds
And the smoke lies on the valley floor
And the blood dries while we spill
Endless summer, needless space
Fill it all up with a void
Mountains all around
Altogether we tumble down
And the smoke lies on the valley floor
And the blood dries while we spill some more
All together we stumble
Eleven million clowns
Every one with a razor out
And the blood dries while we spill some more
The end of the long road
Leading to the start
Of the ever-invading crowds
And the blood dries while we spill
Fill it all up with a void
Altogether we tumble down
And the blood dries while we spill some more

This song is about being an incredibly talented person in stasis. It's maybe about Soundgarden disbanding at the height of their fame. They've reached "the end of a long road" to meet "the crowds." But now the protagonist is stuck in the valley, stumbling aimlessly, surrounded by unclimbable mountains.
The lyrics above are very wrong.
I feel like this song is about a slump. What kind of slump is debatable, but its definitely a slump
This song harkens back to Superunknown, Black Sabbath inspired, heavy metal grunge. Very dark and intense song that gives me images of the aftermath of war.
