This song was actually written about Louis' and Liam's relationship struggles while away on tour (In the first verse they are talking about being on stage and imaging their girlfriends in the crowd). Then they are talking about how they only get so little time to actually see Eleanor and Danielle when they're away, but not to worry because they're coming back soon.

I think it's about them going on tour and having to leave their girlfriends
I think it's not only about their girlfriends that they leave on tour, but potentially their families and friends as well. This is because leaving people you care about for long periods of time is hard, but if you love them, they always come back to "you" or home.
