Covet Lyrics

When I'm with you,
I don't want to be with you.

White hair,
And a hopeful smile.
Your inside,
Is on your outside.
I need,
A pleasant surprise.

Good heart and desire to please.
I want a fatal disease.

When I'm with you,
I don't want to be with you.

You are,
Everything.
My most,
Demanding dream.

When I'm with you,
I don't want to be with you.

There's two ways I see this song

  1. A relationship where the girl is so perfect. That it makes the male partner almost feel so ashamed of who he is. Not necessarily he's a horrible person, but doesn't seem himself worthy. For example, he keeps complimenting her while degrading himself throughout the whole song. For "White hair and hopefull smile" I don't see the white hair part literally. When we all stress we get white hair. That's where the "hopeful smile" comes in. That even when she is stressed she is hopeful and just overall a great person.
  2. The girl in the song likes the guy and again is portrayed as a great, perfect person, but the guy simply doesn't like her. Maybe not ready/scared to be committed, yet knows how great the girl is. (Just my takes on the song)
