But yeah, this is about having being your true self around others, but at the same time having a thick skin, like leather. You're cutting all ties, now and forever, so you're free to be yourself. Being up front showing even your enemy who you are. It's a call to be genuine.

I reckon this song is about a person who is entering a relationship and therefor has to open itself to that other person. So no more individual life, where you are keeping everything inside you, good or bad. When you decide to be with someone, you have to let that other person into your life and reveal to her who you really are. Good and bad

I think Morodrim more or less has this. Except I think it may actually be more about the crowd. We don't all get to be ourselves in our daily lives. But when you go to a Deftones concert, it's Chino's call for you to take action. It's like he's telling a crowd, tonight is your chance to let everything inside of yourselves out in a public manner.
