Maybe its about a guy who just wants sex and/or fall is afraid to fall in love after a relationship ended badly and he is trying to get the memories to go away by being with the girl and turning to alcohol this is implied by the lyrics "but you're afraid to love me" and "Should have let me know, I would lose you to the drink" .
