This song is beautiful. I feel like the vocalist is talking about a girl he cares about; a girl who is "stuck" in her sadness (depression?). She holds on to the sadness she knows, as he tries to show her all of the different opportunities she has in this world. But when she finally speaks, she's un-phased, and only asks to stay in her familiar ground, too afraid to look out optimistically on the unknown.
