Candy Walls Lyrics
So be it what it is
Just give it time, try your best to smile
You give her lengths of love
But the party is gone, the party is done
We fall into a candy wall
Evening slime, what a waste of time
Even though you still get by
Searching for the things that make you come alive
It comes down to this
It's why you're here, oh, why you walk
We fall into a candy wall
Holding hands, well, that's the style
It goes back many years
These gamut boys, millionaires
Take me on a ride
I like you well enough to give you lover's arc
Her streak survives in the night
Her streak survives in the night
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Just give it time, try your best to smile
You give her lengths of love
But the party is gone, the party is done
We fall into a candy wall
Evening slime, what a waste of time
Even though you still get by
Searching for the things that make you come alive
It's why you're here, oh, why you walk
We fall into a candy wall
Holding hands, well, that's the style
It goes back many years
These gamut boys, millionaires
Take me on a ride
I like you well enough to give you lover's arc
Her streak survives in the night
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)
Her streak survives in the night (I hope it comes after all)

I have no idea what the song is actually going for, but the feelings I get from this song are a mixture of patience and longing. You want to be patient and be happy with what you have, because it use to make you happy. Maybe it will make you happy again one day. But it's not enough and there is always something else out there that is pulling you. To the point you're not sure if you're capable of being content. So you just try to take pleasures with where you are instead of drowning in emptiness.
But I had an edible 3 hours ago, so who knows.
Candy Walls may be a reference to Sheena Easton's Sugar Walls (look THAT term one up on urban dictionary why don't you).
I suspect it is about a guy sleeping with a girl and attempting to convince himself that it's what he wants, though deep down he knows it isn't. He stays in the relationship out of fear of hurting her or maybe what the personal ramifications would be for breaking up, a possible admission that he's not quite ready to volunteer, either to her or to himself. "Her streak survives in the night" might about her sexuality, or possibly even the more literal post-coital sense of leaving some markings behind.
I think "Even though you still get by/Searching for the things that make you come alive" is in reference to knowing that he desires men, or at least knowing that something isn't quite sitting right with him in this current guy-girl pairing.
