Yeah, I think the song is about a miscarriage Ryans girlfriend had ten years ago, she called to tell him on phone" Honey iv got real bad news, and there were just tears." But now he wish he got to meet his child he never got to see. "I never got to meet you my bestfriend". Great song, I can soo much relate to it
This song is about an abortion. "Both so lost and crazy. We were young so we ran." They were young so they aborted their child. And though it was probably what was best at the time he is wondering what the kid would have turned out like. And he says "22 years young" which indicates he felt he was too young for a child.
