Diamond Lightning Lyrics

We all go down to Colson bridge
It's where they say all the magic is
Over that dried up riverbed
Blocked by boulders at both ends

We all go down to Colson bridge
Where we ended and we began
Infinity overhead
And I whisper, are you listening?

Liquid concrete under our feet
Trippin' on the constellations we see
Diamond lightning
Seeing where seams are sewn in

We all go down to coastline bridge
Met Lucille for the first time again
Canyon walls became the audience
Time becomes irrelevant
All go down to coastline bridge
To be wedded to our accidents

Liquid concrete under our feet
Trippin' on the constellations we see
Diamond lightning
Seeing where the seams are sewn in

Liquid concrete under our feet
Trippin' on the constellations we see
Diamond lightning
Seeing where the seams are sewn in
Diamond lightning
Diamond lightning

saw an acoustic performance that they did at guitarcenter and he openly said before starting the song that it was about an acid trip. couldn't be anymore straight forward than that...

"liquid concrete under our feet trippin on the constellations we see"

I heard the song for the first time after hearing him tell what it's about, but my own LSD experiences help, so "liquid concrete under our feet" so its easy for me to relate. very common effect while on acid is visuals of solds warping in some way, looking at the ground and seeing it moving fluidly like water.

maybe? This song seems heavily inspired by LSD

The first line is coastline bridge, not coselyn bridge. It makes sense with the rest of the verse as it's probably a bridge over a river that's reached the sea. I also agree with F4rag that the second verse, second line is, "Met Lucille for the first time again."

On first listen I couldn't look further than drugs or suicide.. As the meaning, of course :]

It's Colson Bridge, not Coselyn Bridge or Coastline Bridge.

This song is a tribute to The Beatles and their song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (LSD) Yes it's about an acid trip. They "met Lucille for the first time again" after having hearing The Beatles song then writing their own.
