Such a tender, nostalgic, melancholic song. I don’t really grasp the lyrics but the picture of this lonely woman touches me. She’s in a world filled with friends but she’s lost. Is she mourning the loss of a lover? Is she dead (a fire escape in the sky? She’s a haunted house?) It’s kinda puzzling, but her loneliness is heart wrenching
