Well, basicly the song is all about the feeling you have after a breakup when you've realized how desperate you are and would do anything to move on. You really want to forget her, but you can't, and you just feel like doing crazy stuff to try to forget.
I just love Reel Big Fish, they turn the saddest of lyrics into stuff cou can dance to. This might also be the point of the song, alltough you can't get over your ex you act like you're happy as fuck to convince yourself that you've moved on.
