This song is about being in a relationship with somebody who has put you in, as George Michael would phrase it "lover boy rules". Somebody who just wants to use you and discard you. That's supported by "I tried to be your friend you made me 'shamed." "Then you got sick and guess who took care of you. You hated that. Didn't you? Didn't you?" "And there you got me. That's how you got free. You got rid of me."
The chorus is about how this guy simply spews hot piss every time he speaks. At first she was innocent and hadnt done anything to cause it, but at some point the fact you haven't left yet makes it your fault.
I think "You didn't know how to yet to bein' seen" should be "You didn't know how REACT to bein' seen".

I love this song, but i can't listen to it much. The pain in her voice makes it hard to listen. I think this song is about a very hurtful relationship Fiona was in, and she's (clearly) still hurt
