Children of the Bad Revolution

So a few of the lyrics are likely wrong - there's one part that I can't really understand, posted above as

"They got 'em in chains, Let's hope that we merge"

I'm quite sure that is incorrect, but I just can't tell what she's saying, and those are the lyrics I saw everywhere else.

The only other part I'm not sure about (though I think it is correct) is "Mix it up, mix it up, every dude you ever seen."

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

I think the jist of the whole song is to do with celebrities influence on society mixed with somebody from the inside giving their own personal account.

"Take me in your fast car, Mercedes Kissing on your neck while you're driving Doesn't care, I'm always on my blackberry All the time all the time, buying into every line I'm a flashy little lush, but he thinks I'm really fine Notorious and wild takes me where I'm gonna shine"

Shes either having a relationship with some rich guy and he is helping her get 'there' or she is sleeping with him so that he will get her 'there' either way shes going to 'shine'

"Where the bad boys roll hard dressin' like James Dean And the vixen starlets feel so good to be" Everyone is dressing well, everyone is rich and famous in the area they are hanging at, shes enjoying playing the part of a 'vixen'

How any old joe can go from just your average person to a major celebrity within a short time span if they know the right people and do everything they might have to do to get there.
Most other 'career' choices have to be worked at for years and years for even a tiny bit of fame.
The kind of people she is talking about ARE 'fame' in itself.

'Children of the bad revolution' could be interpreted in at least three ways I can think of, but I'll go with it meaning that from money and power(which come from war and like it or not death and destruction) the 'first' celebrities born, from each era there are always those that idolize celebrity culture so much that they want to become it and so they do. Its a circle. Whatever 'revolution' is going on there are always going to be children from it.
It can be personal also, alot of celebrities have had very difficult lives before become a celebrity, they may of been poor, lost everything and everyone, had drug/alcohol habits, been homeless etc when you are in that state fame,money and power can be at its most appealing as what else do you have to live for? You go from one end of the spectrum to the other, which is like some kind of metaphor for the whole birth/life/death cycle ... those people inspire the next generation in the same predicaments....

'We run our lives' In her eyes with this lifestyle you take a fast track whilst being 'free' singing.. writing.. being an artist. Attending 'parties' as a career... everyone without that can be viewed as being chained in a sense and not expressing themselves. If YOU are the force of fame then you are your own career etc In the world we live in every day life can feel constrictive, getting to 'higher places' seems to offer some kind of freedom, money ,power, a voice etc to have some impact or imprint on the world rather. Basically being a CAUSE not an EFFECT .. of course everyone is both but this is a much bolder obvious way.

'but its tragic, nothing magic makes us free' im at a loss here but the most basic guess would be that no matter what you do in life freedom is a time period, not something permanent just like anything. Really its the way you view it, you could say freedom is an emotion. One persons prison is another persons meadow. How can we every be truly 'free' until we leave our earthly bodies that demand so much just for survival... depends what you call freedom.
