Jaybells Lyrics

Well I take what I get 'cause I love to forget
All the things that we said we shouted over the train
To the place where we went to forget
All the things that we held inside and out all at once

While we rise with the fear to a place
We thought we'd never find
It was Bar None the worst place I'd been
Come again, whisper in my ear
The same lies a thousand times before

I woke up in my shirt and my shoes
And I take what I get
But I can't live down last night

You were the one that I kept on the roof
But we drink and we smoke
'Cause we love to pass the time
Time

When I'm lost and I'm gone
And I know I cover all my fears
I know, I know I can't go wrong
In this town
They know exactly how I feel
And I can't let my friends down

I woke up in my shirt and my shoes
And I take what I get
But I can't live down last night

You were the one that I left on the roof
But we drink and we smoke
'Cause we love to pass the time
Time

I know the spacing is a little weird, but this is pretty much how it was posted on their website.

I'm not really sure what the song is about. Could be about something happening to the singer. He's usually able to shrug of these sorts of things but, for some reason, this girl is getting to him.

Maybe, I don't know.

Also, I love the energy of this song.

Sounds kind of 'Arena-rock'y, I guess.
