Miroir Miroir Lyrics

Let's go out tonight (3x)

Beautiful boys and beautiful girls
Get in the car and let's see the world
Beautiful boys and beautiful girls
Get in the car and let's see the world

Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all

It's us (6x)
It's us (6x)

They look into the mirror
They don't know what to wear
They look into the mirror
They don't know what to wear

Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all

It's us (6x)
It's us (6x)

Beautiful boys and beautiful girls
Show me your eyes and i'll show you my tears
Show me your dreams and i'll show you my sweat
Show me your heart and i'll show you my blood

I work so hard
and for what
I work so hard
and for what

Let's go out tonight (4x)

Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all
Miroir miroir on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all

Who's the fairest of them all (4x)

Cover art for Miroir Miroir lyrics by Desire

My interpretation of "Miroir Miroir" (the French version of Snow White's line) is a cry for worth and validation in a world that appreciates facades. The repeated chant of “It’s us” is a daring claim, where everyone is attempting to convince themselves constantly, almost like a masquerade.

“I work so hard and for what?” screams desperation and exhaustion under an endless chase of perfection and acceptance from others. When Desire mentions tears, sweat, and blood, it’s a way of saying that real beauty isn’t just skin-deep; it’s also paid for with pain, effort, and sacrifice that no one often sees. But when she sings "Let's go out tonight," to me, it seems like she's saying despite the hurt and doubts, some still step into the night with that mask to still have fun; it's a way of defiance for them. Even with cuts and bruises, they still show up with greatness, even if it's for one night.
