i feel this song is about how the human race thinks they are more important than they are and/or deserve to be. the use of "Star" or mainly "Dying star" also gives the feeling that humans think they have a power of (rather stereotypical assumption) a star. but more or less, the truth is that humanity is killing everything, so it makes the star a dying one. throughout the second verse, it shows how some people want the most of humanity to settle down and stop being such elitists and self-centered.
