For My Sake Lyrics
I remember like yesterday
You had a dream in your eyes
And a smile on your face
And I'm missing those days again
Yeah I'm missing those days again
And I forgot what really got in the way
Maybe the sun it wouldn't shine
Should be taking the blame
'Cause its raining on my again
Yeah its raining on me again
A paradox
The key drops
A manifest
What you lost was me
For my sake please
Stop slowing me down
Stop holding me up
We're making a scene
And that's enough
Let's be honest
Your promise
Was never meant to last
I'm taking you on
I'm calling you out
There's nothing left
For us here now
Let's be honest
I promise
I'm never looking back
For my sake
For my sake
Tell my something that's poetic at best
Make me believe there was a time that you were like the rest
And I'll never ask you again
And I'll never ask you again
For all the moments in the memories
No one could ever say we never had a history
But I'm leaving that all behind
And there's nothing gonna change my mind
A paradox
The key drops
A manifest
But what you lost was me
For my sake please
Stop slowing me down
Stop holding me up
We're making a scene
And that's enough
Let's be honest
Your promise
Was never meant to last
I'm taking you on
I'm calling you out
There's nothing left
For us here now
Let's be honest
I promise
I'm never looking back
For my sake
For my sake
A paradox
The key you dropped
A manifest
What you lost was me

I think this is similar to "Enemies"(track 5 of "Amaryllis". This is about someone who is slowing you down in life and you're getting away from them so you can better yourself.
"The key you dropped" not "The key drops"
"A manifest" not "I'm at it fast"
"Quit making a scene, enough's enough" not "Stop slowing me down, and thats enough"
Is every song by this band negative? Gotta poo-poo most of the lyrics I've seen thus far tonight. Turn the darn glass over, guys!
@BornToFightBack I know you posted this 3 years ago but I'm still gonna respond. If you haven't already, look up the lyrics to Unity or Second Chance. Rather uplifting. So the answer to your question is, no, not every song they do is negative. That's like asking if all of the Beatles' songs were about drugs just because a few of them were.

I Wouldn't say its all negative. People realte to it and it helps them in some way to get through whateve, and however,it can. Sometimes the "negativity" that you hear, eventually helps you turn it into a positive in the healing process.Gets you through to the other side...
I LOVE this band! There isn't a song or lyrics that I don't like. You are crazy if you think all their songs are negative! This band rocks and the lyrics to their songs always has me wondering who this song is about. I believe that they are intended for certain someones. You should see them live- they were so awesome that it brought tears to my eyes and I have never been moved by any other band to the point of crying at their concert!! Listen to all their albums....you don't know what you are missing out on!!!! Truly!
