Quesadilla Lyrics

I must've tumbled out of a plane
'Cause I free-fell all year
My chute is blooming out like spring
And I'm nowhere now, but here

But I've seen your long hair come down
It turned my head inside out
And I want you, I want you
I still do

Your wrists were bound in my hands
Water washed around our naked feet
Your blue jeans over in the sand
And we were wresting in our picnic blanket sheets

But I've seen your long hair come down
(Seen your long hair come down)
It turned my head inside out
(turned my head inside out)

And I want you, I want you
I still do
I still, I still do

I've seen your long hair come down
And it turned my head inside out
When I've seen your long hair come down
Turned my head inside out

All I know is, this song isn't about quesadillas. But it's so gooooood! Maybe that's the connection, this song is amazing, quesadillas are amazing.....? :P

For me, it should be "my 'chute (like short for parachute) is blooming now like spring since he "must've stumble out of the plane"

This song reminds me of a summer love that happened a year back and the guy still wants the girl. He's saying she's got him giddy all year since summer. Then, I think, a year later, they meet up in the same place the next summer, with the guy still wanting the girl.

This just has to be that feeling everybody gets when they see a person they once had feelings for (an ex or an old crush) It's about that one moment or thought when you want them again, but it passes quickly: "And I'm nowhere now but here."

My Interpretation

He's proclaiming his love for Mexican-American cuisine. He loves this girl just as much as he loves quesadillas.

My Opinion

Further explanation, the same feeling you get after you eat your favorite food (obviously Nick's favorite food is quesadillas) when you want more of it but don't have more is the same feeling he has for the girl that he had a relationship with, but still wants her.
