HEART Lyrics

I don't know what you think while you're sleeping
I hope soon I'll dream with you

Your heart's a house
Once loved, abondoned then reoccupied
I wish it never hurt
To tell you the way I want you by my side

I don't know what you think while you're sleeping
I hope soon I'll dream with you

All that I asked for was a little bit of heart
I gave you my love
And you tore it apart

Personally, when I hear this song I think of my long distance relationship with my boyfriend.

The first two lines pretty much sum up my desire to be able to hold him and just innocently sleep side by side when he comes to visit me.

“Your heart’s a house; loathed, abandoned, then reoccupied” expresses the past relationships that we’ve had with other people that never really worked out.

“I wish it never hurt to tell you the way I want you by my side" Sometimes when we’re talking over the phone, I get butterflies in my stomach to the point where it can actually hurt (I’m silly like that...). Or when I’ve been missing him for awhile and get that annoying lump in my throat...

The last lines could be taken negatively, but in my case I kind of think of it as how when I first met him I wasn’t prepared for too much to come out of us talking, I just thought that we would have a possible friendship. But he built from what I had originally had in mind and we started dating.
