I love this song but I never really paid attention to the lyrics and I am not sure about them, they sound to me a bit harsh. It is an unusual way of writing in French. Only Lemarchal can get away with it, as his voice gives it a soft tone.
Oops I thought this was a song about someone not being able to love back, and I thought the words were quite harsh, but listening to it more and more, I think it is talking about wars. He sees no point in it, and does not think people have a heart if they rejoice in killing.... it is more beautiful than I thought.
